Weaning

Weaning is a very difficult time for the young chicks. They're torn between wanting to be grown up yet they so desperately need the attention from mom and dad. This is the time where the chicks learn what the different foods are as they slowly lose interest in their handfeeding formula.

Companion Parrot Quarterly

The Birdie Boutique

Parrot Talk - The dangers of weaning

Winged Wisdom (very very good site for parrot info!)

Abundance weaning lets the baby birds eat when they wish and lets them wean at their own speed.
